Safety Patrol
Selected fifth grade students participate in the AAA Safety Patrol Program. These students were selected by club sponsors for their hard work and ability to influence their peers in a positive way. Safety Patrol students are expected to turn in all assignments on time, maintain honor roll, and demonstrate positive behavior as they work to be a good influence for their fellow students.
National Elementary Honor Society
The National Elementary Honor Society (NEHS) was established in 2008 and recognizes elementary students for outstanding academic achievement and responsibility. Students participate in school and community service to help develop leadership skills. Students selected for NEHS are inducted during the Spring semester each school year. Sunnyside Elementary is proud to sponsor a chapter of the NEHS and is dedicated to acknowledging academic achievement in our elementary students.
